(Joplin, Mo) – The Missouri Southern State University Choral Society’s annual Spring Concert will take place Sunday, May 3, 2026, at 3:00 pm, in the First Community Church, 2007 East 15th Street in Joplin, Missouri.
The MSSU Choral Society, conducted by Melissa Belk, is a 50-member area-wide, mixed choir that offers fellowship and fun for those passionate about singing.
The Chorus will sing several popular songs, including: “For Good“ from Wicked, and “Touch the Sky” from Brave. They will also perform a medley of jazzy standards, including Alexander’s Ragtme Band, “When the Saints Go Marching In,” and “Sweet Georgia Brown.” In a more serious vein, “Pie Jesu” by Andrew Lloyd Webber, and several others will be presented.
The concert is free and open to the public; donations are appreciated.
