(Joplin, MO) – The Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce (JACC) and Forvis Mazars are excited to announce the finalists for 2026 Business of the Year Awards. This year, 16 businesses and nonprofits were nominated by area business professionals.
This is the 29th year of the Business of the Year Awards, which are intended to recognize the contributions that local businesses and nonprofits make to the area’s economy and job growth, as well as their impact on residents.
Awards are given in three different categories: one to 50 employees, 51+ employees, and nonprofits. Businesses must have been a member of the Chamber for at least two years to qualify. A panel of judges, made up of individuals in the business community, will evaluate the nominees and choose winners based on the following criteria:
- Contributions to the community
- Business or management philosophy
- Response to challenges
- Innovation
- Employee involvement/recognition

Awards will be presented to the winners in each category during the Chamber’s Annual Banquet on Thursday, April 23 at 5:15 pm at Downstream Casino Resort Pavilion.
