Connect2Culture’s January 2026 Performances Include Dmitry Shishkin, Bubble Trouble with Jeff Boyer, The Barricade Boys – Broadway Party.

Joplin, Missouri – Connect2Culture’s (C2C) January performances feature an international classical pianist, larger-than-life bubbles, and an unforgettable Broadway tribute.

“We’re kicking off 2026 with bubbles, Broadway, and more!” says Emily Frankoski, Executive Director of C2C. “Whether you’re drawn to world-class classical music with Dmitry Shishkin, interactive family fun with Bubble Trouble, or a show-stopping Broadway celebration with the Barricade Boys, there’s truly something for everyone on our stage this month.”

All performances in the 2025-2026 season will be held at C2C’s home theater—the 419-seat Beshore Performance Hall—or its outdoor amphitheater—the 1000-person Leggett & Platt Green—at the Cornell Complex (212 W 7th St).

Silver Medalist at the Tchaikovsky International Piano Competition and winner of the Geneva International Music Competition, Dmitry Shishkin is acclaimed for his electrifying performances and imaginative artistry. He has appeared at Wigmore Hall, the Verbier Festival, and Vienna’s Musikverein, performing with leading orchestras including the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Budapest Festival Orchestra, and Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra. Born in Chelyabinsk, Russia, and now based in Switzerland, Shishkin is one of today’s most exciting classical pianists.

A Guinness World Record holder and internationally acclaimed performer, Boyer’s unique blend of science, art, and theater has wowed audiences for over 25 years. This interactive, sensory-friendly show is pure family-friendly fun, inspiring audiences of all ages to share in the joy of discovery.
