George A. Spiva Center for the Arts is excited to partner with Arvest Bank to offer area artists a chance to be featured on a custom Arvest debit card, which represents Spiva!
From now until Tuesday, September 30, all area artists are invited to create a piece that coincides with the theme “Celebrate the Creative Experience.” Spiva’s tagline comes to life through this theme, inviting artists to design a card that bursts with joy, imagination, and color. Entries that reflect the vibrancy of the arts, the power of creativity, and the spirit of community that Spiva fosters are encouraged. Think bold, celebratory, and uplifting art that sparks inspiration every time the card is used.
Details for the competition are as follows:
- Categories include Youth (17 years and younger) and Adult (18+)
- All entries must be high-resolution and must be submitted via email to exhibits@spivaarts.org.
- 2D and 3D artwork mediums are accepted as long as they can be digitally scanned or photographed.
- Six finalists from each category will be selected by a panel made up of Spiva and Arvest representatives. Finalists will be featured in a 2026 art calendar, and the public will vote for the winning designs to appear on Arvest debit cards.
Please note that all submissions must incorporate space for the Spiva Center for the Arts logo on the front of the card. Artists should thoughtfully consider placement, color balance, and overall composition to ensure the logo is both visible and harmoniously integrated into their design.
Finalists from both categories will be selected based on the following criteria:
- Creativity and originality
- Visual impact
- Appropriateness for reproduction on a debit card
- Overall composition and design
- Alignment with community and artistic values
