JOPLIN, MO, MAY 8– Downtown Joplin Alliance invites the community to attend the “ROUTE 66 FEST” at May’s Third Thursday on May 15, 2025. Join our sponsor, Mid America RV, from 5:30pm-8:30pm to celebrate the Great American Road and the start of summer!
It’s Mid America RV’s 20 Anniversary, so come celebrate with them and tour all the amazing RV and camper options for the season as they take over the 400 block of Main Street–there is something for everyone, from Fifth Wheels to Toy Haulers, to Travel Trailers!
The Youth Volunteer Corp will have a special booth set up, selling Third Thursday shirts and Route 66 souvenirs to benefit Downtown Joplin Alliance. You can stop by and help support the organization by making a purchase. Kids between the ages of 11-18 can sign up for a variety of fun and fulfilling ways to give back to their community.
Be sure to stop by and take a look at the newest addition to the Route 66 Mural Park (located on the 600 block), the Route 66 Tri-State Mural, designed by local artist Andy Thomas and produced and installed by Whitehill Enterprises.
The evening’s other events include:
- Live music all night on stages ranging from the 200 Block to the 600 Block, from: The Fun Club; Little Green Men; and Cody Rawlings–a special performance at 610 S Main by Analog Frog, brought to you by the soon-to-be-open House of Speed
- A special Build-Your-Own Gravity Racer at the Schroeder Family Exploreum at 300 S Main St (think Pinewood Derby, but quicker!).
