Missouri Southern State University (MSSU) marked a significant milestone in the development of the Roy Blunt Health Science Innovation Center with a special topping-out ceremony on March 14, 2025. The event, attended by Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe, celebrated the completion of the building’s structural framework.
The Roy Blunt Health Science Innovation Center, set to open its doors in the summer of 2026, will provide cutting-edge educational facilities designed to prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals. The center will house advanced classrooms, state-of-the-art laboratories, simulation spaces, and the latest healthcare technologies, offering students an unparalleled environment for hands-on learning and training.
“This new facility will not only enhance the educational experience for our students, but it will also support the growing demand for highly trained healthcare workers in our region,” said MSSU President Dr. Dean Van Galen. “We are proud to offer our students the tools and resources necessary to succeed in today’s evolving healthcare landscape.”
The new center is part of MSSU’s ongoing commitment to expanding its health sciences programs and equipping students with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in the healthcare field. With its focus on innovation and real-world application, the Roy Blunt Health Science Innovation Center will be a cornerstone in MSSU’s commitment to meet the healthcare needs of the region and beyond.
