(Diamond, MO) – The staff of George Washington Carver National Monument invites preschoolers and their families to a story hour on Tuesday, December 10 at 10:00 am!
This free program is held indoors in collaboration with the Carl Junction Parents as Teachers group. The topic of the story hour will be backyard birds. A park ranger will read a story exploring George Washington Carver’s curiosity about nature, followed by a bird identification activity using plush birds with authentic calls!
Preschoolers will also have the opportunity to make a bird feeder using pinecones. And everyone is encouraged to stay afterwards to explore the discovery area, take a walk on the nature trail, watch the park film, or picnic.
