About the Panelists
- James Fisher, Ph.D., is a professor of marketing and Emerson Ethics Fellow at Saint Louis University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. His research focuses on business and marketing ethics, buyer behavior, and consumer complaining patterns. Dr. Fisher has collaborated with BBB on analysis of its database of local consumer complaints.
- Kay D. Thompson, Ph.D., received her Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she learned the art of extracting useful information from imperfect data. As the senior business data analyst for BBB St. Louis, she uses her skills to provide information needed for a broad range of data-centered decisions.
