(Joplin, MO) – “Due to impending chances for severe weather, the City Council meeting scheduled for tonight, November 4, has been rescheduled to next Monday, November 11,” said Joplin Mayor Keenan Cortez. “I believe this best serves the citizens and staff. I apologize for the inconvenience this causes to all involved but also believe it is best to be cautious based on current information from reliable weather sources.”
On Monday, November 11, the Informal Council meeting will begin at 5:15 p.m., and the City Council meeting will be held at 6 p.m. The meeting will be in the Council Chambers on the fifth floor of City Hall, 602 South Main Street.
Revised agendas for both meetings will be posted on Thursday and can be found on the City Council’s page on Joplin’s website, here.
