Lafayette House Expands Infant Care Services with Support from Joy Spiva Cragin Charitable Trust

(Joplin, MO)Lafayette House is pleased to announce the receipt of a $2,500 grant from the Joy Spiva Cragin Charitable Trust. This generous funding will support a crucial initiative to provide 65 days of infant care through the organization’s state-licensed daycare center, addressing a significant barrier for clients seeking treatment and recovery services.

“This grant allows us to offer essential childcare support, enabling our clients to fully engage in their recovery journey,” said Susan Hickam, Executive Director of Lafayette House. “By removing the obstacle of unreliable childcare, we’re empowering parents to focus on their healing and personal growth.”

Lafayette House serves individuals in Joplin and surrounding areas who are impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and substance use disorders. The organization provides a range of services, including a domestic violence shelter, substance abuse treatment, and sexual assault intervention.
