(Neosho, MO) – Nursing students from the Crowder College’s Instructional Centers in both McDonald County and Nevada saw an overall first-time pass rate of 95% on the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) with 100% passing on the re-test. This test is required for the students to receive proper licensing to be a Registered Nurse (RN) or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

These students graduated in May and must take and pass the exam to acquire jobs as an RN or a LPN.

“During the 23–24 academic year, Crowder College Nursing graduated over 100 nurses that have gone to work serving our communities throughout southwest Missouri and northwest Arkansas,” said Sandra Reed Wilson, Director of Nursing for Crowder College. “Crowder partners with area health care facilities to provide clinical options for student, which in turn provides long-term interviews for the facility. It is a win for the students as they seek employment opportunities.”

In addition to the two instructional centers, Crowder College has Registered Nursing programs at the main campus in Neosho, as well as the Cassville instructional center. A new group of 90 students have recently been accepted for the Neosho and Cassville programs.

The Associate of Science Nursing degree is a four-semester program. The Practical Nurse program consists of two semesters and is currently offered at the Nevada instructional center.
