The Joplin Public Library and the Post Art Library is excited to host an artist talk and closing reception with Joan Allen on Thursday, May 30 from 6:30 to 7:30 pm in The Bramlage and Willcoxon Foundation Gallery inside the Joplin Public Library.

Allen’s exhibit, Artrageous, features watercolor paintings from her exclusive “Twiglette” collection, as well as bird and floral themes. She is a graduate of the University of Alabama who loves working with the elements of art, using many colors and lines within her works. Her Twiglette collection portrays women in action, enjoying life, and was inspired by her observations of family and friends. In addition to creating and exhibiting her work, she teaches techniques in painting and drawing.

This is a free event for all ages and open to the public. Registration is not necessary. For more information, contact the Post Art Library at 417-623-7953, ext. 1041.
