Wildcat Glades Nature Group Awarded American Water Charitable Foundation 2024 Water and Environment Grant

(Joplin, MO)Wildcat Glades Nature Group announced today that it was awarded an American Water Charitable Foundation 2024 Water and Environment grant, focusing on Wildcat Park habitat restoration.

“Wildcat has been working since its inception in 2018 to restore native landscapes and provide the public with an opportunity to immerse themselves in nature. Our restoration plan has several facets, but our priority is to remove invasive plant species to encourage the re-establishment of native plants.  The grant from American Water Charitable Foundation provides the much needed financial support for our efforts,” said Robin Standridge, Executive Director, Wildcat Glades Nature Group.

The Water and Environment grant is part of the American Water Charitable Foundation’s Keep Communities Flowing Grant Program. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization established by American Water, the largest regulated water and wastewater utility company in the U.S., and aims to support high-impact projects and initiatives that further American Water’s commitment to ESG, as well as inclusion, diversity and equity.
