Score Baseball Tickets and Shirts in May and June During the 20th Annual Bleed Red Blood Drive with the Springfield Cardinals

(Joplin, MO) – Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO), the sole supplier of blood, platelets, and plasma to patients at 45 area healthcare facilities, is teaming up with the Springfield Cardinals for the twentieth annual Bleed Red blood drive.

The 2024 Bleed Red blood drive will be held during May and June at CBCO Joplin and Springfield donor centers and mobile blood drives in Missouri and Kansas. Successful donors will receive a custom three-quarter sleeve Springfield Cardinals baseball T-shirt and two free tickets to an upcoming Cardinals game, while supplies last.

Bleed Red, one of CBCO’s most anticipated promotions, is held during the summer to help ensure a strong summer blood supply for local patients. “With the generous support of the Springfield Cardinals, we are thrilled to be able to offer this fun summer incentive to our valued CBCO donors again this year,” CBCO Media Relations Representative, Michelle Teter said. “Hit a homerun for local patients by taking the time to donate. A simple act of kindness today can save lives tomorrow.”

“Our 20-year partnership with the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks has been instrumental in saving the lives of Southwest Missouri patients. We are proud to partner with CBCO again this year, for a two month Bleed Red Blood Drive to continue making a positive impact in our community,” said Springfield Cardinals General Manager, Dan Reiter.

The 20th annual Bleed Red Blood Drive is sponsored by the Springfield Cardinals; AMI Radio Group’s stations KKOW Country 96.9, Magic Mix 92.9, Rewind 104.3 and Rock 107.1; Nexstar Media TV stations KOLR 10, KOZL, and Ozarks FOX; and Summit Media radio stations Power 96.5, Country 94.7 KTTS, KSGF 104.1, and Classic Rock 106.7.

The O Negative blood supply locally is currently low. The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks is urging eligible donors with O negative blood to give as soon as possible.

To help avoid wait times, appointments are strongly encouraged. For more information about the event and to schedule an appointment, go online or call 417.227.5006.
