City of Joplin to Host Public Meeting to Discuss Sign Codes Related to Downtown Neon Signs

(Joplin, MO) – A public meeting to discuss proposed changes to the City of Joplin’s sign code ordinances will be held on Tuesday, December 12. Joplin Historic Preservation Commission members and City staff seek input from citizens relating to proposed code changes to permit neon signs in Joplin’s historic downtown district. Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting. It will be held from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at 530 Somewhere (530 S. Main Street). This discussion will focus on the City of Joplin’s downtown historic design guidelines. It will not change the City’s sign codes.
