In 2023, Joplin FosterAdopt Connect served 55 families through our Kinship Navigator Program, connecting guardians to local resources in order to ease the burden placed on families living on fixed income or experiencing limited access to necessary resources.
Our Behavioral Intervention Team served 12 families experiencing challenges and obstacles within their daily routines and were able to equip families with one to one in home supports so that families can remain intact.
Our Prevention Services team served nine families facing crisis and through weekly support meetings and a Nurturing Parenting Curriculum, worked to keep families together and improve living skills to increase likelihood of future success.
Finally, our Sammy’s Window Clothing Boutique served more than 25 families each month throughout 2023.

EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT: Benjamin Boatwright
Ben is Joplin’s Prevention Services Manager and oversees our Kinship Navigation and Prevention Services Programs and recently began supervising these programs for our Poplar Bluff Branch in southeast Missouri.
Ben leads with kindness, intentionality, excellence and a passion for service. Ben has been working in non profits for nearly a decade and holds degrees from Missouri Southern State University and from Pittsburg State University.
Ben and his wife Annie are expecting their first child soon, so if you see Ben around make sure to congratulate him and welcome him to parenthood!
