(Joplin, MO) – The Joplin Empire Market is putting the final touches on the plans for its annual night market, S’mores and Pours, which will be held on Saturday, October 21 from 7:00 to 10:00 pm. This event will be centered around fall-themed activities as well as local beer, wine, and vendors.
Visitors can expect to craft their own treats at the S’mores Station. Chaos Brewing Company, as well as Webb City-based winery, Just A Taste, will be serving beer and wine for patrons 2 and older. The Market Bar will also be serving up special seasonal cocktails, where non-alcoholic apple cider will also be available. Potions & Brews will be on hand to whip up tasty mocktails, as well. Patrons will have a wide variety of food to choose from, including seasonal baked goods, gourmet hot dogs, ice cream, and more. Evan’s Family Market will have their grill going as they serve up a selection of their own pasture-raised meats.
Activities will be or all ages to enjoy, including pumpkin tic-tac-toe, giant Jenga, cornhole, face painting, and more. Create & Sip will have live painting opportunities. The Youth Volunteer Corps will also be staffing a kids’ activity station. Visitors are encouraged to bring a blanket and get cozy!
The Harvest Moon Marketplace will include familiar vendors of the Empire Market as well as new vendors, each one including fall and Halloween-themed merchandise in their offerings.
Visitors can enjoy live music, and hang out under the stars all night long!
Lindsay Gagnon, the Empire Market Coordinator, says, “We always love our night markets! S’mores and Pours will be a celebration of all things cozy, creepy, and autumnal, all held underneath the stars and our lights in our festival courtyard.”
S’mores and Pours is free entry to the public. Food, beverage, and some activities are priced per item.
