The Best of Southwest Missouri, recently released their 2023 edition of The Best of Southwest Missouri, a magazine highlighting the most beloved businesses and places in our area. Over 3,600 businesses and organizations were nominated from 16 different counties. Fifty-one Joplin businesses won awards out of more than 500 that were given to southwest Missouri businesses.
Under the “Things To Do” category, Joplin’s Urban Art Gallery (511 S. Main Street) was voted as the Best Art Gallery 2023, and presented with their award by Miss Missouri 2022 in an awards ceremony held earlier this month at the Oasis Convention Center in Springfield.
“It is such an honor for this business that opened in November 2015,” says owner and longtime arts advocate Linda Teeter. Since opening, they have shown works created by more than 150 local artists.
