Picking Up STEAM

The Creative Learning Alliance is looking forward to a summer full of fun-filled activities, including a workshop focused on how cameras work, a celebration of National Aviation Day, and much more! Sign up for one below.

Picture This: How Cameras Work Playshop

Saturday, June 24 | 1:00 to 2:00 pm | Recommended for kids between eight and 15 years old | $5 per child

Join the Creative Learning Alliance as they explore how cameras can capture images with a giant pinhole camera, video flip books, green screens, and camera drones! Each child will receive a make-and-take pinhole camera activity.

All of the camera activities are best suited for kids between the ages of eight and 15, but all children between the ages of three and 17 are welcome to participate. The cost to attend is $5 per child with no additional fee for accompanying parents or for children under two years old.

Registration is required.

Uncommon Musical Instruments

Saturday, July 22 | 1:00 to 2:00 pm | $5 per child

There are so many musical instruments in the world, but if you had to create an instrument that had never been created before, what would it look like? What would it sound like?

Join the Creative Learning Alliance as they answer these questions during this lab on uncommon musical instruments. Find out more here.

National Aviation Day

The Alliance’s Eclipse Task Force is hard at work prepping a weekend full of events and activities that focus on the 2024 solar eclipse. All the activities will take place between April 6 and 8, 2024. Stay tuned for details!
