Joplin Parks & Recreation Presents 23rd Annual Daddy Daughter Date Night

(Joplin, MO) – Tickets are now on sale for the 23rd annual Daddy Daughter Date Night hosted by the Joplin Parks and Recreation Department. This year’s event will be held on Friday, February 24 and Saturday, February 25 at the Joplin History and Mineral Museum.

“This is one of our most popular programs of the year,” said Jessica Johnson, Recreation Coordinator. “This has become a tradition for many families in the area.”

This year’s fiesta-themed event includes dinner, dessert, dancing, digital photo download, the popular egg toss game, and prizes. A professional photographer will be on hand to capture the memories and a complimentary digital photograph of each couple is included in the ticket price.

The dance is targeted for those three to 12 years old, so the prizes and games are geared to that age range. Although the event is traditionally for fathers and daughters, another parent/adult chaperone is welcome to accompany the child.

This is a limited-seating event and pre-registration is required. Friday’s event will feature one session form 6:30 to 9:00 pm and Saturday will feature two sessions, one from 12:00 to 2:30 pm and another from 5:30 to 8:00 pm. Tickets are $40 per couple, $20 for each additional daughter, and registration is available online, in-person at the Joplin Parks and Recreation office (3301 W. 1st Street), or by phone (417.624.4750). Tickets are valid for the session purchased.
