Community Partners Team Up for Childcare Task Force Panel Discussion

Are you concerned about childcare in your community? Missouri has lost over 12% of its childcare businesses since the start of the pandemic. Reliable childcare ensures working families are consistent and productive in the workforce.

If you are a community policymaker, economic developer, human resource representative, business owner/manager, childcare provider, or a caring member of the community, please join us for this event as the Missouri Department of Social Services, the MOKAN Partnership, and The Alliance of Southwest Missouri discuss how to increase access to childcare in southwest Missouri. They will be addressing questions such as:

  • How do we create more spots?
  • How do we make it affordable?

The panel discussion will take place on Thursday, October 20 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at the Joplin Advanced Training & Technology Center, 420 Grand Avenue.
