(Joplin, MO) – The United Way of Southwest Missouri & Southeast Kansas is kicking off their 2022–2023 campaign in a fun, new way by hosting the United We Can Food Sculpture Challenge, September 6 through September 20 to benefit area food pantries.
They are looking for businesses, organizations, or groups to participate to see who can create the best sculpture made from canned and nonperishable food and other basic need items. After the event, United Way of Southwest Missouri and Southeast Kansas will distribute the donated items to area food pantries.
Participants can choose to construct their sculptures at Northpark Mall in Joplin or Meadowbrook Mall in Pittsburg during regular mall hours between Tuesday, September 6 and Sunday, September 11. Participants may also choose to build their sculptures in their office or workplace instead of the mall. All entries will be featured on our Facebook page where the public will be encouraged to vote for their favorites between September 13 and September 20.
