Pint For A Pint Blood Drive August 8 Through August 12

(Joplin, MO)Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO) is partnering with Hiland Dairy and Flag City Brewing Company for the third annual Pint for a Pint Blood Drive to help boost the blood supply for local hospital patients.

From August 8 to 12, at the Joplin Donor Center, donors who give a pint, get a pint and more. All donors will receive a coupon for a free pint of ice cream from Hiland Dairy and receive a coupon good for a free beer or root beer from Flag City Brewing Company. Donors will also receive two tickets for general admission to the Dickerson Park Zoo and a “Be fabZOOlous” T-shirt.

The Joplin Donor Center is located at 101 N. Range Line Road, inside the Northpark Mall.

Donation hours are 11:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Thursday and 8:00 am to 2:00 pm on Friday.

“The Pint for a Pint Blood Drive offers donors refreshing rewards for their lifesaving gift of blood,” CBCO Media Relations Representative Michelle Teter said. “The summer continues to affect the area’s blood supply, and we have been continuously short of several blood types. The need is great, but so are the rewards. We appreciate the generosity of our sponsors to be able to offer this very popular promotion.”

Community Blood Center of the Ozarks is currently low on all blood types and donations are needed to boost the supply levels. There is no easier way to save a life than to give blood. Every blood donation can help up to three local patients.

To help avoid wait times, appointments are strongly encouraged. Donors can schedule an appointment at www.cbco.org/donate-blood. On behalf of local hospital patients, Community Blood Center of the Ozarks thanks blood donors from across the region for giving life to your community.
