Arvest Bank Million Meals Campaign Hits Halfway Mark

Hunger-Fighting Effort has Raised 547,738 Meals to Date

(Joplin, MO) – Arvest Bank launched its 12th annual Million Meals campaign on April 1. On April 28, the bank announced the campaign has raised 547,738 meals, more than half its goal.

The campaign runs through May 28 and all funds raised will be donated to local organizations in the communities Arvest serves.

“We are blown away by everyone who has donated to and supported the campaign so far,” Rebecca Dunham, Sales Manager of Arvest Bank, said. “We know the meals raised will be truly impactful this summer, when a lot of kids don’t have access to meals they ordinarily receive at school and when many of our food partners report fundraising challenges.”

“We also want to remind our customers they can donate via our mobile banking app, Arvest Go, which makes giving easy and secure.”

Arvest has raised more than $27,000 via Arvest Go at this point in the campaign and is aiming to break the previous record of $38,429.

Anyone wishing to make a monetary donation can do so at any Arvest branch and Arvest Flex Rewards credit cardholders can log in to to redeem and donate rewards points.

Every dollar raised through Million Meals provides the equivalent of five meals for local, hungry families. Locally, Arvest (JPL) has partnered with Joplin Bright Futures, Webb City Cares, Carl Junction Bright Futures, Carthage Bright Futures, Lockwood Ministerial Alliance, The Good Samaritan Shop, Community Outreach, USD 250, Miami First United Methodist Church, Newton County Food Basket Brigade, and Monett Community Kitchen.  These organizations will receive all the monetary donations made in Arvest JPL.
