Wildcat Glades Friends Group Releases April Program List

(Joplin, MO) – This April, the Wildcat Glades Friends Group, along with other partners, will be hosting a hands-on preschool connections program, kids and adult yoga, and an Earth and Arbor Day event.

Yoga in Nature for Adults

April 9 | 8:30 to 9:30 am | For ages 16+ | $10 to attend | Wildcat Glades Education Cottage

Led by Amanda, a registered yoga teacher, this class is designed to incorporate elements of nature, breathing, and yoga poses. Bring your yoga mat or a towel and a reusable water bottle. This is a great opportunity to help those who might be experiencing a little angst from being cooped up during these winter months.

Adventures of the Aluminum Can

April 23, 1:00 to 2:00 pm | April 27, 10:00 to 11:00 am | Preschool Connections | Free class sponsored by Calvin Cassady | Wildcat Glades Pavilion 

Join us to follow an aluminum can on its adventure through our environment. We will be joined by a special guest to help us learn how cans are made and why recycling is so important. We will also read a story and make a craft.

Join forces with us to save this planet!

The Wildcat Glades Friends Group, City of Joplin, Liberty Utilities, Missouri Department of Conservation, and the Missouri Master Naturalists have teamed up to create an event that illustrates the importance of the earth and its trees! This year’s “The Red Oak Strikes Back” emphasizes the importance of investing in nature and our native plants!
