(Joplin, MO) Downtown Joplin Alliance (DJA) has been busy processing vendor registrations, musician applications, and recruiting for special acts for our 15th Annual Third Thursday season. The first event kicks off on March 17 at 5:30 pm with plenty of food, music, and fun activities.

The theme for March’s Third Thursday is “Going Green!” Our vendors will be painting the downtown green in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day as well as to encourage visitors to think of how small changes in their lives can help achieve greater sustainability.

Each Third Thursday event this season is themed as follows:

  • March: Going Green
  • April: At Your Service
  • May: Big Bike Bash
  • June: You Belong in Joplin (Equity & Diversity Festival)
  • July: Downtown Waterfest
  • August: Dog Days of Summer
  • September: Green & Gold with Missouri Southern State University
  • October: Downtown Spooktacular

Small businesses, artists, nonprofits, and others who would like booth space at Third Thursday can apply here. Signups close the first Monday of each month prior to the event.

Musicians who are interested in performing this season can apply at the same link listed above.

To become a volunteer, please visit the DJA Facebook page and fill out the application form provided.
