This allergy report from Hedberg Allergy & Asthma Center contains the pollen and spore concentration report from the Roger’s sampler for the week of October 5, 2021 to October 10, 2021.

The following table contains the contains the daily concentration of particles in the air from midnight to midnight each day. Numbers are in particles per cubic meter and the corresponding NAB category, see below.

Allergen Types

The allergen types that were in highest concentration were:

• Molds – Molds were at moderate to very high concentration. Cladosporium, Ascomycetes and Basidiomycetes were abundant each day. Pithomyces, Drechslera were present each day. Alternaria, Penicillium/Aspergillus, Myxomycetes, Smuts, Curvularia, Nigrospora, and hyphal fragments were all noted as well. September 5 started out wet and was dominated by Ascomycetes and Basidiomycetes.
• Grasses – Grass pollen was at moderate to low concentration. Trees – Tree pollen was absent.
• Other Weeds – Other weeds were high to moderate. Amaranthaceae (Amaranths, Chenopodium) were moderate to low. Plantago (plantain), various unidentified Asteraceae (sunflowers, daisies), Xanthium (cockleburs), and Artemisia (mugworts, wormwood) were in low numbers on each day.
• Ragweed – Ambrosia (ragweed) was high through the week.

The National Allergy Bureau (NAB) sets categories for airborne allergen concentration according to the following table. All concentration ranges in particles per cubic meter.
