(Joplin, MO) – Downtown Joplin Alliance (DJA) has named two new board members to its board of directors, Luke Gibson and Jaron Scott. Both board member terms began in September 2021.
Luke Gibson is a Commercial Specialist with Glenn Group Commercial Real Estate and has been a realtor for six years. He is an area native who has a passion for community and locally owned businesses within the Joplin area. The combination of his career and love for historic architecture is what prompted him to join the DJA’s board of directors. Gibson states, “I am incredibly excited to be able to serve the community and continue to push forward the economic vitality of Downtown Joplin!” In his leisure time, Gibson loves exploring new places to eat, listening to various artists and genres of music, and is an avid golfer.
Jaron Scott pastors a local church in Joplin, Missouri. He is a 2018 graduate of Ozark Christian College and his currently pursing his Masters of Organizational Development at Abilene Christian University. Jaron and his wife Chelsi have lived in Joplin since 2013.
Lori Haun, executive director of DJA, states “We are excited to add Luke and Jaron to our board. They are both so passionate about Joplin and are looking forward to making a difference in downtown!”
