Starting a Small Business: The First Steps

In this workshop, participants will discover their target markets and gain a better appreciation of why businesses need to understand their customers. Participants will also learn the steps to register their business with the federal, state, and local agencies. Participants will learn the basics of understanding the importance of cash flow projections and various funding alternatives.

This workshop is designed for business owners, managers and those who want to learn how to turn financial statements into useful management tools. They will learn how to capture information from the Income Statement and Balance Sheet, calculate several useful Ratios and learn to make business decisions from this information.

Summer Hours

The Missouri SBDC at MSSU follows the Missouri Southern State University summer schedule. Beginning Monday, May 17, 2021 through Friday, August 10, 2021, our office will be opened Monday through Thursday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, closed on Fridays.
