(Joplin, MO) – After a year-long hiatus due to COVID-19, Connect2Culture (C2C) is excited to announce multiple upcoming live performances to enjoy this summer.
“It’s time to celebrate! After a year-long hiatus, Connect2Culture can’t wait to return to live, in-person performances and we know Joplin is just as eager as we are. Feedback received from our Joplin Area Audience Assessment Survey gave us confidence to move forward with these one-off summer performances. We are also finalizing our 2021-2022 Curtains Up Series, which will be announced sometime in August. These performances are sure to satisfy that hunger for live entertainment in the interim. We hope the community and visitors will grab their lawn chairs, friends and family, and join us as we get back to the music!” said Emily Frankoski, C2C Director.
All upcoming performances listed below are BYOC (bring your own chair) and certain safety measures will be in place to keep everyone safe and healthy. All in attendance are strongly encouraged to wear masks while entering and moving about at the event. When seated, attendees are welcome to remove their mask to enjoy the show. C2C requests that all parties socially distance (six feet apart) themselves from other parties.

Where: Joplin Empire Market (931 E. 4th Street in Joplin, MO 64801)
Named after a haunting Bob Dylan song, Farewell Angelina is an all-female country group with powerhouse vocalists, dynamic songwriters, and accomplished multi-instrumentalists. Their stellar blend of heart-stopping harmonies over blazing double violins and guitars has earned soaring praise across the board. Roughstock calls them a “Superstar Act… with Killer Songs.” Rolling Stone says, “Wickedly smart songwriting delivered with a healthy dash of sass… deft playing… into one sonic knockout punch.”
General admission is $15 plus processing fees. Children ages 12 and under get in free.
Tickets may be purchased here or by calling 417.501.5550. For those that would like to purchase in person, C2C will have a pop-up box office at Joplin Empire Market on the Saturday prior to the event. For more information, visit C2C’s website or the Facebook event page.
