The Leadership Joplin class enjoyed their Communication Session on March 18 as they heard from several community leaders and toured various media facilities in Joplin.
They learned about building an audience on social media from Shannon Becker of Joplin News First. They toured the Joplin Globe Publishing Company with a special thank you to Andy Ostmeyer for being our tour guide. Rachel Heisten and Alissa Owlsey with LifeWork Talent Consulting presented on the Top Three Tips for Effective Communication. Sara Reineke presented on Crucial Conversations and Jordan White taught the class how to use the power of a story to lead and grow a business.
The day finished with a tour of the KSNF-TV and KODE-TV studios. The class tried out the green screen and got to see a live recording from the studio and the production room.
