C2C Releases Annual Year in Review Including 2020’s Most Memorable Arts and Cultural Moments

(Joplin, MO) Connect2Culture (C2C), Joplin’s community arts agency, compiled and released 2020’s most memorable arts and cultural moments in the Joplin area on Monday, December 28, 2020, via email communication and social media channels.

2020 has been a year like no other. The Joplin arts and cultural community, like many across the nation, has faced unprecedented challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. Joplin’s creative community was forced to adapt and find new ways to reach and serve patrons – challenge accepted! With the generosity of arts and cultural advocates, combined with the creativity and determination of the arts and cultural community, another year full of activities (virtual or otherwise) was enjoyed by those both near and far. C2C captured these moments every step of the way and proudly presents them in this annual retrospective.

Sections include: New Faces, New Public Art, Transitions, New Happenings, Collaborations, Anniversaries, Notable Events, Performances that Popped, Awards and Recognitions, and Months to Celebrate. Information about C2C’s accomplishments and an update about the Harry M. Cornell Arts & Entertainment Complex are also included.

The 2020 year in review can be accessed at bit.ly/C2C-Looking-Back-2020.

“Joplin’s arts and cultural community inspires us daily. They persevered and adapted to provide arts, culture, and entertainment throughout this difficult year, and their creativity has also supplied hope and some sense of normalcy. We couldn’t get through this without them. We encourage everyone to share this year in review widely with friends and family,” said Emily Frankoski, Director, Connect2Culture.
