(Joplin, MO) – Arvest Bank leadership, on behalf of the Arvest Foundation, were pleased to donate $5,000 to Creative Learning Alliance. Funds will be used to engage the public in their mission as they work to create a first-class science, technology, engineering, art, math (STEAM) center for the four-states region.
The donation was held at the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce, located at 320 E. 4th St., Joplin, MO. Arvest Bank leadership, organization members, city officials, and community members were on site for the Arvest Foundation check presentation.
“The Creative Learning Alliance’s vision is to engage people of all ages in hands-on learning, driven by curiosity and play,” said Audie Dennis, Creative Learning Alliance president. “The enthusiastic group of professionals, concerned citizens and educators that make up Creative Learning Alliance, set out to explore the concept of creating a hands-on, STEAM-based science center. Funds from this award will go towards bringing our vision to fruition”.
“I want to express my appreciation for the collaborative work taking place within the Creative Learning Alliance organization,” said Chad Evans, Arvest Bank president and Creative Learning Alliance board member. “I also want to recognize the importance of community partnerships in bringing new innovations to the Joplin region through the creation of this first-class science center. There is such value in creating a space where families can share in educational and cultural experiences.”
