(Joplin, MO) – AMI Radio Group is proud to announce the launch of a new program, 4-States Live, with longtime Four States broadcaster Shannon Bruffett taking on hosting duties.
The show airs 7:00–9:00 am on weekdays with broadcasts benefiting from massive regional terrestrial coverage area provided by KKOW 860 AM/97.5 FM and KMOQ/New Life Radio 105.3 FM. The show can also be heard worldwide via phone apps or streaming (kkowam.com mynewliferadio.com).
“With the launch of 4-States Live, I’m thrilled to return to my home away from home—on air,” Bruffett said. “Although I never left the area, I maintained close contact with a number of businesses, organizations, and local individuals who were kind enough to share their stories and expertise during my nearly 18 years in local television news. Throughout that journey, there were plenty of laughs, a few tears, and lots of cheers.”
4-States Live features different guests each day covering a variety of topics: manufacturing, healthcare, agriculture, economic development, ballot issues (no political candidates), schools, finance/taxes…topics of the day that would be of regional interest.
Representatives from area nonprofits, city and county governmental entities, and chambers of commerce also make regular appearances.
“I’m blessed to have met so many interesting people over the years and look forward to reconnecting with familiar faces and meeting new people,” Bruffett said. “4-States Live will be a fun and informative program that will bring a positive vibe to the morning.”
“Bringing a community-based program to the Four States has been a goal of ours for a while,” said AMI Radio Group Operations Manager Steve Smith. “No politics. Just informative conversations about anything and everything going on in the region. One of Shannon’s strengths is her local ties to the area; she’s a lifelong resident of the Four States and has connections to community leaders. We’re excited to welcome Shannon to our radio family.”
