The City of Joplin would like to remind residents that as part of MoDOT’s 7th Street improvement project, St. Louis Street will be closed beginning Monday August 31, 2026 for two (2) days on both the north and south sides of 7th Street. The closure on the north side will be between 6th and 7th Streets. The closure on the south side will be between 7th and 8th Streets.
This closure is necessary for a water line relocation as part of the 7th Street (Route 66 Traffic Safety Improvements) project.
