Spiva Center for the Arts and Connect2Culture are excited to host Movie on the Green: Wheels and Reels, a special outdoor movie event celebrating the 100th anniversary of Route 66 and the 20th anniversary of an iconic Disney and Pixar movie!
This special event will take place on Thursday, June 18. Gates open at 7:30 pm with the movie beginning at 8:30 pm. This event is free and open to the public with a suggested donation of $5.
As part of the Movie on the Green, Spiva is inviting artists, kids, and creative grown-ups to enter the Wheels & Reels Cardboard Cruiser Contest! Build your own cardboard car and bring it to the Harry M. Cornell Arts & Entertainment Complex on Thursday, June 18 for a fun car show on the green before the outdoor movie!
Judging will take place between 7:45 and 8:00 pm.
Kids are also invited to join the Spiva team on Sunday, June 14 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm for a hands-on Make Day where they can design a cardboard cruiser to enter into the contest.
