Missouri Southern State University and Visit Joplin are proud to partner together to bring the Centennial Route 66 Annual Balloon Festival to Joplin on August 28, 29, and 30, 2026!
This three-day festival will be full of family-friendly entertainment featuring more than a dozen hot air balloons, a kite show, helicopter rides, tethered balloon rides, food trucks, a vendor’s market, live music, and much more. Hosted at Missouri Southern State University, this event is sure to wow with gates opening at 7:00 am each day and fun activities taking place until 10:00 pm every night.
