Paper Quilling: Create Beautiful Art with Simple Techniques
Tuesday, April 21 | 6:00 pm | Ages 15+ | Wildcat Glades Education Cottage | $25 per attendee
Discover the art of quilling in this introductory class, perfect for anyone interested in creative paper crafts!
Quilling, also known as paper filigree, is an ancient art form that dates as far back as the Renaissance, when nuns and monks would roll and shape strips of paper to decorate religious items. Over centuries, quilling has been used to embellish greeting cards, boxes, and even some fine artwork, offering endless possibilities for artistic expression.
During this class, instructor Laura Gulick will guide participants through basic quilling techniques, including how to roll, shape, and glue paper strips to create beautiful designs. The $25 fee covers all the supplies needed for one completed project, making it easy for you to try quilling without any extra cost.
Whether you’re a beginner or just curious about this historic craft, you’ll leave with a finished piece and the skills to continue quilling at home! Space is limited, so make sure to register here.
