Joplin Schools’ Parents as Teachers to Host Two Holiday Events in December

Joplin Schools‘ Parents as Teachers (PAT) is excited to announce their two holiday-themed events, which will be hosted in December. The group is still accepting donations of necessary supplies and/or treats for both events.

Santa’s Grab Bags

Wednesday, December 4 | 10:00 am to 12:00 pm | Located at the Joplin Public Library

Join Joplin Schools’ PAT at the Joplin Public Library on December 4 for this come-and-g0 event!

Families and parents are welcome to come and grab some ideas and a few supplies for some fun, festive holiday crafts. Santa will also be on-site for pictures with the kiddos.

Story Walk Unveiling Celebration: If Mice Pulled the Sleigh

Thursday, December 11 | 9:00 am | Located at Leonard Park

One Joplin and Joplin Schools PAT, along with Schreiber Foods, will be unveiling a new Story Walk at Leonard Park (408 Turk Avenue). The new story featured in the StoryWalk is If Mice Pulled the Sleigh by Bill Barnsley and Mariano Epelbaum.

Kiddos can enjoy free children’s books and photos with Nana Claus while parents pick up resource from the PAT staff.
