(Jefferson City, MO) – The Missouri Public Service Commission (PSC) will hold a local public hearing on Monday, December 8, 20205, to receive customer comments in a case filed by Missouri-American Water (MAWC) to acquire and operate water and sewer systems owned and operated by the City of Neosho, Missouri. The local public hearing schedule appears below:

Monday, December 8 | 6:00 pm | Located inside the Elsie Plaster Community Center Auditorium at Crowder College (601 Laclede Avenue in Neosho, MO)
The hearing will begin at 6:00 pm with a public information/question-and-answer session followed by the Commission receiving testimony from the public. In order to ensure broad participation and the ability for every citizen to offer comments, comments may be time-limited.

On September 24, 20205, MAWC filed an application with the Commission seeking an order granting a certificate of convenience and necessity (CCN) to authorize it to construct, install, own, operate, maintain, and otherwise control the water and sewer systems in and around Neosho currently owned and operated by the City of Neosho. The application also seeks to establish the ratemaking rate base associated with Neosho’s water and sewer systems.
