Joplin NALA Read to Host 5th Annual Literacy Liftoff on September 26

Join Joplin NALA Read for their 5th annual Literacy Liftoff on Friday, September 26 from 5:00 to 7:30 pm!

Hosted on the soccer fields at Missouri Southern State University, this free event features fun for the whole family and there’s no cover charge to attend. Attendees can expect:

• Tethered hot air balloon rides
• Bounce houses
• Yard games
• A DJ
• Food trucks
• Exhibitions by local nonprofits
• A basket raffle

This event serves as a fundraiser, and any and all donations during the event will go towards the upkeep and growth of NALA, which is a literacy nonprofit in Joplin that is dedicated to the mission of helping adult learners reach their full potential.

Literacy Liftoff is presented by U.S. Bank with additional support from Missouri Southern State University, Southwest Missouri Bank, The Joplin Globe, Olsson, First Community Bank, Freeman Health System, and Missouri Foundation for Health.
