Service is at the core of Kansas City University’s mission and an important aspect of campus life at Kansas City University – Joplin.
Student doctors are immersed in community service through We Care Day. On this annual day, students, faculty, and staff partner with more than 20 local nonprofit organizations to give back by completing a variety of service projects. First-year medical and dental students had the opportunity to roll up their sleeves and volunteer at several locations throughout Joplin, some of which included:
- Joplin Humane Society Animal Adoption & Resource Center
- Joplin Area Habitat for Humanity
- Lafayette House
- Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Four States
