(Lowell, AR) – Metro Appliances & More is proud to announce the recipients of its annual employee scholarship program. Now in its second year, the Metro Appliances Scholarship Program continues its mission of empowering personal and professional growth through educational opportunities.
This year, Metro has awarded two $2,500 scholarships to deserving individuals seeking to further their education. Among this year’s recipients is Dalton Frye, who works in the warehouse at Metro’s Lowell, Arkansas store. Dalton plans to attend the University of Arkansas Community College to study land surveying, with the ultimate goal of becoming a professional land surveyor. He shared that this scholarship will play a significant role in helping him further his education and that he is very appreciative of the support from Metro Appliances & More.
A Commitment to Growth and Development
The Metro Appliances Scholarship Program was created to provide financial support to current employees and their dependents who have demonstrated a strong commitment to academic success and career advancement. Eligible applicants must have at least one year of employment with Metro Appliances or be a dependent of an eligible employee. Scholarship recipients may be:
- Graduating high school seniors
- Students currently enrolled in higher education institutions
- Current employees continuing their education
Applicants must be planning to attend or currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or technical/vocational school and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Preference is given to those pursuing degrees in fields related to the appliance industry, such as business management, accounting, or general business.
