City of Joplin to Host Open House to Discuss Prospect Village Development on June 26

Want to learn more about the Prospect Village development project which will feature a publicly owned sports complex? Would you like to see new design and plan renderings and provide feedback to the developer?

Woodsonia Real Estate, Inc., the project developer, and the City of Joplin will host a Public Open House on Thursday, June 26. This come-and-go meeting will be open from 4:00 to 6:00 pm in the City Council Chambers (5th floor) of City Hall, 602 S. Main Street.

This multi-use development will be constructed near 20th Street and Range Line Road.

“It’s been exciting to put this together and visit with the stakeholders about this incredible project, which will bring multiple generations together to enjoy sports, recreation, and retail,” said Drew Snyder, Woodsonia Developer. “As a mixed-use development, it will also offer housing opportunities, and all are centrally located in Joplin.”

“We’re in the early stages of the development for a state-of-the art sports complex which we think is going to be a game-changer for athletics in the community,” said Nick Edwards, City Manager. “Whether you’re a team participant or parent, an active lifestyle enthusiast, or a sports spectator, this offers something for everyone.”

Come to learn more, ask questions, and view the initial facility renderings. Project representatives are excited to meet with community members, sports enthusiasts, tourism stakeholders, local businesses and anyone interested in the future of this project.
