12 years or more

I am on the Leadership Joplin Committee and do monthly member visits as part of the Ambassador program.

What is your favorite Chamber event/program and why?

Ribbon Cuttings. They’re a great opportunity to meet people you might never cross paths with otherwise. The stories behind the businesses and the families involved are often deeply impactful.

A recent Ribbon Cutting for an apparel shop stands out. One of the owners shared a moving story about being an immigrant from a country under Communist rule. It was incredibly powerful and inspiring.

What would your advice be to new members of the Chamber?

GET INVOLVED—attend events, join committees, and take advantage of every opportunity to connect with others. The more people and businesses you’re exposed to, the larger your circle of influence becomes.

Do you have anything else to add?

I love being a part of the Chamber!!!
