(Joplin, MO) – The Joplin Area Transportation Study Organization (JATSO) is excited to announce the date for the Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) Update Virtual Public Open House.
The Public Open House website will become live at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 20. There will be videos, maps, graphics, and general information about the project. There will also be an opportunity to comment on the project’s progress to date. The Public Open House website will be available until Thursday, August 27 for residents to access and engage at any time they are available.

JATSO is the transportation planning agency for the Joplin metropolitan area, as designated by the federal government, and its goal is to provide for regional mobility. The Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) identifies how the region intends to invest in the transportation system. This plan must be updated every five years.
