(Joplin, MO) – Joplin Public Library is proud to announce a significant upgrade to its network infrastructure, enhancing both speed and security for patrons and staff. The recent overhaul, which replaces the library’s entire network stack with the latest in secure Layer 3 technology, marks a major milestone in the institution’s commitment to providing a seamless and secure digital experience.
The upgrade ensures faster and more reliable internet connectivity while fortifying cybersecurity measures, protecting users from potential threats. By implementing state-of-the-art networking solutions, the Joplin Public Library is laying a strong foundation for future technological advancements and expanded digital services.

This technology improvement project is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by the Missouri State Library, a division of the Office of the Secretary of State.
