(Joplin, MO) – The Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to share that they have promoted Erin Slifka to the role of Vice President.
“Over the past several years, Erin has strategically enhanced the Chamber’s communications and marketing processes, which has significantly expanded our reach and impact,” says Travis Stephens, President and CEO of the Chamber. “Her strong leadership skills, deep understanding of the Chamber’s mission, and proven dedication to both the organization and the staff makes her the perfect fit to lead and guide our team going forward.”
Slifka has a degree in hospitality management with a concentration on event marketing from Johnson & Wales University. She has been a vital part of the Chamber team since joining in 2018 and has served in various capacities for the Chamber, including as the Director of Marketing & Communications and the Director of Sales & Marketing.
Slifka’s first day in her new role was January 2, 2025. As Vice President, she will collaborate with stakeholders and lead strategic initiatives to cultivate member engagement so that businesses thrive, the community grows stronger, and the Chamber delivers exceptional value to its members.
“These new responsibilities reflect her notable contributions to the Chamber, the respect and trust of the team that she has built over time, and our confidence in her ability to continue to elevate the Chamber to new heights as we expand our programming and value to our members and the community,” concludes Stephens.
