2024 Children’s Theatre Workshop
It’s almost summertime, which means it’s nearly time for JLT’s Children’s Theatre Workshop! Sign up your young thespian for one or both weeks as they learn about theatre through fun activities. The cost to attend is $75 per child per session and registration opens on May 28 at 9:00 am.
Week One: This Book Needs a Hook
Choose between two sessions: July 8 to 12 @ 8:30 am to 12:30 pm or 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm
A freshly printed book is ready to go out into the world. There’s only one problem: How will it find its audience? The new book decides the best thing would be to ask for advice. It asks different genres of books how they find their hook. Kiddos in this workshop will find out if the new book has what it takes to become a classic!
Week Two: JLT Survivor
Choose between two sessions: July 15 to 19 @ 8:30 am to 12:30 pm or 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm
Can you out-sing, out-dance, and out-act?
Teams will compete to see who can become the sole Joplin Little Theatre Workshop Survivor. Artists challenges and physical challenges of skill combine in this once-in-a-lifetime theatrical event. Your kids won’t want to miss it!
