(Joplin, MO) – The Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce (JACC) and FORVIS are excited to announce the 2024 Business of the Year nominees. This year, 17 member businesses and nonprofits were nominated by area business professionals.
The Business of the Year Awards is now in its 27th year and recognizes the importance of businesses and nonprofit organizations to the local economy, job growth, new products, and services.
Awards are given in three different categories: one to 50 employees, 51+ employees, and nonprofit. Nominees must be JACC members in good standing for two years to qualify. Judges from the business community will consider the following criteria when choosing the award winners:
- Contributions to the community
- Business or management philosophy
- Response to challenges
- Innovative products or services
- Employee involvement/recognition

Awards will be presented to the winner of each category at the Chamber’s 107th Annual Banquet, which will be held on Thursday, April 25 at Leggett & Platt Athletic Center at Missouri Southern State University.
